Isabella received her BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Waterloo in 2025. She subsequently joined the Xie Lab as a PhD student, where her current research focuses on understanding how inflammation and metabolic factors influence HSC behaviour and contribute to the development of clonal hematopoiesis and leukemia. Isabella is equally passionate about cooking, crocheting, and spending time with her dog.
